SYNoPSIS

The tyrannical and vicious Mrs Boynton is on holiday in Jerusalem, surrounded by her family whom she takes please in tormenting. When Poirot, also in the area, overhears her son Raymond saying to his sibling "You do see don't you, that she's got to be killed" he is on high alert and when Mrs Boynton is later found dead while on a visit to Petra, he promises to solve the mystery.

Appointment with Death takes place in Jerusalem (Israel) and in Petra (Jordan). At the time of Agatha Christie's writing Jerusalem was part of the British Mandate for Palestine and Petra was in the neighbouring Emirate of Transjordan.
